Let Go of your Thoughts

You can’t control other people, but you can control yourself.  Choosing to think differently is empowering because you are taking charge.

Everyone has negative thoughts sometimes, but when it is impacting on your every day life, then it’s time to take back control.

If you start feeling low or those negative thoughts are getting out of control,  you can stop these and decide to make a positive change.

Close your eyes and imagine a red balloon.  Now let that balloon go so you can no longer see it in your mind.

You had control over your mind to let the balloon go and you are the same person who can let go of those negative thoughts.  If you have the power to let go of an image you have created, you have the power to let go of those thoughts.

Next time you find yourself feeling low, overwhelmed, replaying past events or having worries racing around your head, say STOP and imagine them disappearing, just like the red balloon did.

It will take practice, but the more you do it, the easier it will become until you have control over your thoughts, rather than them controlling you.
